Shopping Online at Pack It In
Please read the information below so that you understand the options and the process.
Ways to use the online system:
- Just how you would any online shop! We can then deliver to you in person or you can collect. See below for delivery days and other information.
- Use the system to browse at your leisure, write your own list (plan your meals even?) and then pop in to shop in store with your own containers just as you usually would, but with a clear plan of what you know you can buy. This means that you can shop quickly and efficiently but also make yourself aware of our increasingly wide range of products!
- Use the system to browse at your leisure, write your own list and then….email us your order….WHAT? NOT use the online shop? YES! If you wish, you can lodge your containers with us (you’ll need 2 sets), and we can fill the containers, rather than weigh specific amounts - which takes more time - and you get a plastic- and paper-free shop. Please email us if you want to discuss this ‘Earth Friendly’ option!
Amounts
To buy the unpackaged food in the shop most of the foods are for sale per 100g or per 30g. So for instance, if you want 300g of a product which is sold per 100g then you need to select 3 of the product, if you want 1KG(1000g) then you need 10 of the product and so on. You can also alter the amounts in your cart.
Shipping and Delivery:
Postal service available although we prefer not to post more than 2KG.
Collection in person/Click & Collect - Please order by 9pm for collection after 11am the following day.
Please assume that it will be ready unless we contact you.
Drop & Collect - You can leave a bag with your containers in, labelled with what/ how much would like in each one if you are strapped for time. You can leave it with us to fill and you can run off to do whatever other errands you need to, or go to work, and collect later - sometimes it can get really busy so make sure to give us plenty of time!
NEW Once a month deliveries on Tuesdays to:
Local Delivery is £3.00. Minimum spend £20. Free delivery on orders over £30
Packing for collection, local delivery and postal:
Orders will be packed in recycled Kraft paper bags and secured with compostable paper tape or home compostable cellulose bags. If packing to post we will reuse packaging from our own deliveries, whenever possible. We also make use of donated supermarket bags for life and other shopping bags.
If you would like to use some of our donated plastic containers or glass jars, or would like to collect on a specific date, please let us know in the order notes (on the right-hand side of the ‘checkout’ page).
'Earth Friendly’ Circular Option:
If you choose the ‘Earth Friendly’ Option, to lodge your containers with us for refilling, we will help you to get together 2 sets of containers that can be used in a closed loop service just for you. Please note that you will be responsible for sending your, clean and dry, containers back to us when you receive your delivery, ready for your next order. Please get in touch if you would like to consider this service.
